Designed for comfort

At Cherrybrook Care Home, we understand that where you live has a big impact on how you feel. That’s why thoughtful design is at the heart of our home. From the colour of the walls to the layout of communal spaces, every detail is carefully considered to create a sense of warmth, familiarity, and safety.

The Importance of Light, Décor, and Atmosphere

Soft, natural lighting, calming colours, and homely décor all play a part in making Cherrybrook a welcoming and relaxing place to live. Familiarity is key, especially for those living with dementia, so we use elements that feel comforting and easy to recognise. That includes large murals of recognisable landmarks and places from the local area.

All of our resident’s rooms are designed to feel warm and welcoming, offering a spacious, fresh feeling environment. The rooms are light and bright, offering a homely and comfortable space that feels nice to live in. Each includes:

A fully profiling bed, which allows different sections of the bed to be adjusted for comfort, mobility support, and medical needs

- Fitted furniture keeps things neat and clutter-free with lots of storage space

- A flat-screen TV gives residents the option to relax in their room with entertainment

- An ensuite wet room with a toilet and shower for empowering convenience and accessibility

We encourage our residents to personalise their space and work with loved ones to make sure cherished items and family memories are close at hand. Our team get a lot of enjoyment from helping out with those special finishing touches that make things really feel like home.

Supporting Dementia Care Through Design

A well-designed space can make a huge difference for people living with dementia. Clear signage, thoughtfully placed furniture, and sensory-friendly features help residents navigate their home with confidence. Our aim is to create an environment that reduces anxiety and encourages independence wherever possible.

Dementia Train Experience

One of the unique features at Cherrybrook is our dementia train experience. This immersive setting allows residents to engage with a familiar and nostalgic scene, sparking memories and encouraging conversation. It’s a wonderful way to provide comfort and connection in a safe and controlled environment.

Specialist Care in a Non-Clinical Environment

Cherrybrook provides specialist dementia care  and support for people living with advanced dementia, as well as complex physical nursing and mental health needs. Our non-clinical environment offers a homely atmosphere where our residents feel secure, valued, and part of a caring community.

By focusing on thoughtful design, we have created a space where the people in our care feel at ease, valued, and truly at home.
